Here is the Inspectors Top Ten list for April.

  1. Braced walls not being properly constructed.  Using wrong straps.
  2. Drilling holes in trusses.
  3. Broken trusses on delivery being installed.
  4. Not following truss bracing per manufacturer spec sheets.
  5. Not following I-joist installation instructions.
  6. Not installing plumbing protection nail plates.
  7. Tempered glass not being installed where required.
  8. 911 addresses not posted.
  9. Not building according to “Approved plans”
  10. Final Elevation Certificate being supplied for houses in flood zones.
