Associates Council Ramp Build July 30, 2013

Come join our Associates Council next Tuesday as they install a garage-space ramp for the use of the mobility-impaired resident to entry/exit the home with a power scooter.  Construction and installation of the ramp is next Tuesday, July 30th, at 118 Syracuse Drive in Newark, starting at 9am.

The Associates Council has worked tirelessly for many months on this project to make it a reality.  The ramp design was prepared by students at NCC Vo-Tech under the guidance of our Associates Council members and the students instructor Mr. Moxley.

Spearheading this effort by our Associates Council members:

John Johnson, Karins and Associates Engineering/Surveying

Jim McCulley, WatershedEco LLC

Debra Young, EmpowerAbility, LLC

Besides our Associates Council members, we owe a world of thanks to our generous sponsors:

Benchmark Builders for their labor and installation management supervision;

Cornell Homes for spearheading and obtaining to secure the building permit;

LC Homes and Shone Lumber for supplying the ramp materials.

Thanks again to all for their help!
