Barkitecture Call for Entries

Call for Entries

Design-build competition to raise funds for homeless pets

Wilmington, DE. – Faithful Friends Animal Society in partnership with the Home Builders Association of Delaware and AIA Delaware present Barkitecture – a unique fundraising featuring a competition of custom-built dog houses, cat condos and pet furniture. Entries will be available for auction at the event on April 5, 2014 at Arsht Hall in Wilmington.

Entry registration deadline is January 31st

Who should enter?
Entries are open to builders, architects, interior designers, landscape architects, engineers, contractors, students, artists and creative individuals. Teaming with other design professionals is highly recommended.

What should be entered?
Categories for Dog Houses, Cat Condos, Outdoor CatHouses and Dog and Cat Furniture will be part of the competition. Design and construction guidelines are provided.

When will the entries be displayed?
All entries will be displayed at the Barkitecture Gala on April 5, 2014 in Wilmington. The winners will be announced that evening. Selected entries will also be displayed at the spring Delaware Home and GardenShow at the Chase Center on March 28-30, 2014.

Proceeds from Barkitecture will benefit homeless dogs and cats in Delaware that are served by Faithful Friends Animal Society.
