The event took place at Liseter, by Toll Brothers in Newtown Square, PA and was a collaboration of the Home Builder’s Association of Delaware, Maryland Building Industry Association, Building Industry Association of Philadelphia, Builder’s League of South Jersey, Home Builder’s Association of Bucks/Montgomery Counties, Building Industry Association of Lancaster County, and the Home Builder’s Association of Chester and Delaware Counties.
Lisa gave updates on what’s happening in the 55+ housing market. She discussed age restricting versus age design. Lisa identified voids in the 55+ market, and how Baby Boombers impact the rental housing market.
Followed by Lisa Price’s presentation, a panel consisting of five builders, was moderated by Barbara Kleger of Kleger Associates.
The Builders answered questions about design, and the trends they are seeing in their market areas. All builders agreed that there were no particular features that the 55+ market sought, other than personalization and making housing unique to them.
