HBADE MEETS with Federal Delegation

Our members had the opportunity March 11th to meet with the entire delegation of our Washington elected officials – Senator Tom Carper, Senator Chris Coons, and Congressman John Carney.

Nearly 50 members joined us for a roundtable discussion of issues important to the housing industry.  We talked about excessive federal regulations, healthcare costs as well as several other topics.

Although our time with the members was relatively short, it did allow time for q&a, and our members had the opportunity to chat, talk, and take pictures with them before they went off to their next meetings.

These really are a win-win.  It allows HBADE members to meet and hear firsthand from Senators Carper and Coons, and Congressman Carney; and it gives them firsthand exposure and listening to us.

HBADE sponsors this forum in connection with our National Association of Home Builders Forum called Bring Housing Home, in which other home builder associations across the country meet that week with their respective delegations.

A huge thank you to our host John Tracey and his law firm Young, Conaway, Stargatt & Taylor for again allowing us the use of the Rodney Square Conference Room!
