Home Builders Help the GA Food Drive

The Home Builders Association of Delaware pitched in to help the bi-partisan effort of the Delaware General Assembly to increase winter donations for the Food Bank of Delaware.

The goal of our state legislators initiative is to collect 148,000 pounds of food  during this winter – called the 148K in the 148th (recognizing this is the 148th Delaware General Assembly).

Taking the lead for the General Assembly is Representative Lyndon Yearick and Representative Ed Osienski.

HBADE members collected 464 pound of food – “that’s a lot of beans and such” as someone said. We’re happy to help our legislators as they help support the Food Bank of Delaware.

A special thanks to Mike Easton of Horty and Horty, our HBADE Board member that took the lead for us to solicit, collect and deliver the food to the Food Bank. Atta boy Mike!

Pictured below we conveyed the 464 pounds to them at an event this week.  In the picture (left to right): Kevin Whittaker, 2016 Pres. HBADE; Howard Fortunato, EVP, HBADE; Mike Easton; Lyndon Yearick; and Ed Osienski.
