HBA/DE Congratulates Four Members Who Received Special Recognition at our 2016 Leadership and Legacy Ball!

Home Builders Association of Delaware would like to recognize four members who received special recognition at our 2016 Leadership and Legacy Ball held December 10th.

First, we would like to recognize our New President, James C. McCulley. Jim has been a long time member of the HBA/DE and has made great contributions towards making our organization a valuable and useful resource for our members.  His presidency is special in our history because it is the first time an Associate Member has been elected President. Congratulations Jim!

Our next recognition goes to Kevin Whittaker. Kevin was awarded the President’s Award as well as an honorary gavel. Kevin’s dedication to our association has been greatly appreciated and he has done a wonderful job serving as our president over the past three years. Thank you for your hard work and we will try to give you some time to relax, but not too much.

Our third award, the Leon N. Weiner Builder of the Year Award was given to Mary Field. The award was presented to Mary by Kevin Whittaker, last year’s recipient. Mary has dedicated many hours in making Home Builders Association of Delaware a richer and more successful organization. Mary met a number of criteria points for this award such as being active, showing leadership ability, helping to retain members, actively participate in activities throughout the year, making a significant contribution to our industry, and showing professionalism in the process. We wish her continued success and look forward to her continued support of our association. Congratulations Mary!

Last, but certainly not least, we would like to congratulate Michael Easton for being awarded the James C. McCulley Associate of the Year Award.  The award was presented to Mike by Debra Young, last years recipient. Mike has been involved with the Home Builders Association for a number of years; however this past year he has really rolled up his sleeves! He organized a successful food drive, recruited new members, helped with events such as the Softball Tournament, and agreed to lead the Membership Committee. Mike was both surprised and appreciative. Congratulations Mike!
