HBADE Celebrates National Home Ownership Month!

Home Builders Association of Delaware celebrated National Homeownership Month by attending a Framing Frenzy on Legislative Mall.  Americorps Volunteers framed out walls for the Nazario Family who will be putting in sweat equity to help build their new home in Dover, with the help from Central Delaware Habitat For Humanity.

Governor John Carney gave a proclamation speech to all the workers and presented the proclamation to Dan Simpson of Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity

Even though the temperatures were soaring into the mid 90’s there were smiles on those attending the press conference about National Homeownership Month. There were many esteemed speakers from all of the partners who made this event happen, Habitat for Humanity – Central Delaware, Sussex County, and New Castle County Chapters, Delaware State Housing Authority, U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development, Delaware Association of REALTORS, and HBADE.

In addition to the partners of National Homeownership Month, Members of the Delaware House and Senate gave a Tribute to National Home Ownership Month.

To close the press conference on National Homeownership Month the Nazario Family gave a speech in both Spanish and English to show their gratitude for the support in building their new home.
